There are various possible reasons for the blurred vision following the hysterectomy surgery, including anesthesia, medication, positioning during surgery and changes in hormones, life style and body situation. Many people happen to have some side effects from anesthesia medications. These symptoms are more or less similar to a cold or flu, sore throat, blurry vision, nausea, dehydrated or pain in muscles or joints, occurring within hours after surgery and going off with no requirement of treatment. Just have some warm water would be good. Positioning during the surgery might cause swelling in head and around eyes, which will cause vision problem. As the swellings clearing off, your vision would be restored. You can apply some compress on eyes and massages with oil around eyes to help its subsiding. I think the changes in body and hormones are the biggest headache for you to concur. Anemia from too much blood loss might give you the blurry vision. You could have some iron supplement to fix this problem. Because of the uterus excised, you estrogen level would be fluctuated, which might cause your anxious state of mood, depression, blurry vision and some eye problems. It takes times for your body to function normally and for you to get used to it. Don't worry too much. Get some moisturizing eye drops could help relieve the dry eyes from hormones issues. But if your vision problem persist or worsen, contact your doctor at the earliest.
