  It is normal to have numb eyelids after blepharoplasty. Usually numbness will subside in a period from weeks to months. It is common for patients who had blepharoplasty surgeries. Surgeon will excise excessive skin and fat tissue of eyelids through external or internal incision on eyelids. The wounds will make the eyelids swelling and stiff. You might feel difficult to close your eyes. Numbness of lids and lashes is just temporary symptoms which some patients experience while some others don't. You don't have to worry about it. Talk to your surgeon that he/she will give you some instruction on it. You could try to use some ointment or artificial tear to moisturize your eyes and wounds. After your wounds healed, you can try to massage your eyes slightly and tenderly to help blood circulation and numbness subsiding.

  Well, yes, it is normal to have eyelid numb after blepharoplasty. And generally speaking, the patients will experience some symptoms after blepharoplasty. For example, the lids and lashes will feel numb. And you need know that this is usually a temporary situation which is present after every blepharoplasty but not noticed by every patient. And for this situation, you may not need to worry about it, and in common, it will just disappear in several days. Also, after the surgery, your eyes will be blurry. Especially in the early days after an eyelid procedure, vision may be slightly altered. There may even be some double vision after lower blepharoplasty. And they can be recovered by themselves. So just do not worry about it.

  Although there are many side effects after the blepharoplasty, the eyelids numb after a blepharoplasty is not normal. You could adopt the ointment with anti-inflammation on the eyelid numb to release the symptom. During this time, you should not drink or smoke. You could even not eat the spicy food which will stimulate your skin around the eyes. You should have the good rest for the eyes.
