Squint surgery refers to correction of eye deviating problems. There are totally six muscles which would be adjusted during to surgery to a balance. You know, recovery period varies from case to case, depending on how complicate the surgery is and the care for eyes the patient provide. Normally speaking, you can return to your home the very day you had the squint surgery which should be 30-60 minutes. You might feel very drwosy for the anaesthesia. Have a good rest at home. You can go back to normal work after 1-2 weeks. For me, I think the longer the better. Avoid swimming or contact sports for at least 8 weeks. You can wear your eye glasses, not contact lenses, as normal immediately after this surgery. The eyelids might be sticky and get crust on the root of eyelashes, which you need to batche your eyes according to what the nurse taught you. Take a good care of your operated eyes, then you can get recovered sooner.

You may need one month to get the general recovery after the squint surgery. You may protect the eyes carefully during this time. You should not eat spicy food. You need to drink more water to moisture the eyes. In addition, you should also eat food with vitamin C which will make you feel comfortable. You should not use your eyes too much time in front of the computers during that time.

Well, generally speaking, it will take about three months for your eyes to recover from the squint surgery. And at this recovery period, you need to protect your eyes carefully, or it will hurt your eyes and also slow down the recovery process. For example, you should not have some heavy sports, for heavy sports will just increase your eye pressure, leading to some eye strain. In that way, your eyes can be affected. Also, do not let water and dirty objects getting into your eyes, or eye infection will occur. Anyway, just be careful about them.
