In the Hayward, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • I am so sorry to hear that. As far as I know, it would take a long time for your eyes to recover and some activities such as driving are forbidden. Anyway, I am confused how can you do not feel uncomfortable and want to drive. However, it would be best for you to consult a doctor and follow his instructions and advice. I think it will take you about 3 months before you are ok to drive a car.

  • Dear friend, you may suffer from red and itchy eyes in the first week. I suggest you to wear your contacts for 2 hours in the first day and then increase the hours day by day. Usually it may take at least a few days or one week for a new guy to get used to contacts totally. You also need to wash your hand with soaps carefully before wearing your contacts for any bacteria or viral may cause an eye infection. You also need to put your contacts in the right solution for the solution will cause irritated eyes too. If you can't get used to this air of contacts few days later, you need to try another kind of lens. Good luck to you!

  • The doctor may tell you that you can do everything as usual in your daily life after corneal transplant, but I suggest you do not drive during the six month after corneal transplant. Even though you're restored vision after corneal transplant only for several days, which doesn't means that you're completely heal. Any injury of your eyes may cause permanent damage, so, just be careful.

  • They can't protect your eyes from the sun. Besides, they are harmful. They will lead to dizziness because they can do nothing for you in protecting your eyes. The harmful UV rays can’t be blocked by the lenses and the harsh glare from the sun can't be filtered by the lenses too.

  • Yes, it is very possible that the double vision may be caused by corneal abrasion. Cornea is usually regarded as the clear and protective window of the heart of human beings at the front of the eye of human beings, as well as where the most common type of injuries that the eyes would get. It can be very painful if people get corneal abrasions such as when getting your cornea scratched, feeling like you have sands in the eyes, along with the symptoms such as tears, blurred vision, increased sensitivity or redness around the eye, and sometimes you even can get headache. Notice that do not try to remove an object, nor do you rub your eye after an injury, or touch your eyeball.

  • it is normal for desinger glasses over $100 . But I think $100 is the lowest price for an designer pair . If you budget don't allow , you should give up them and look for others . There are many nice glasses under $50 online . If you want to try first ,you can use the vitual try-on system which is really useful . I know firmoo can offer such system . you can have a look .

  • Puffy eyes can result from illness, hangovers, hormone fluctuations, allergies, and, yes, exhaustion. They can be itchy, red, and swollen to the point of discomfort. For some people, puffy or baggy eyes are a hereditary trait, and must be accepted as such. Aloe Vera gel is a popular treatment for skin conditions known for its soothing and moisturizing benefits. You can use creams or moisturizers that contain aloe vera, or you can use aloe vera in a pure and natural gel form to soothe and diminish your puffy eyes.

  • Not really. As a side effect, raw food diets might improve circulation to flush out bad toxins from the body and in turn reform the pigments in the eyes. Such effects may cause people to experience a surprising change in their vision as well as their eye color. According to "Living and Raw Foods," the iris can change its pigment by the body regenerating new cells, but the topic is still being researched and needs more tested clinical studies to back up such claims.
