  • Yes, round glasses are very popular and nice, but they are not fit for anyone. People select glasses according to their face shape and skin tone mainly, if they are girls, they should also think about which color or shape of glasses are suitable for their hair style. As for round framed glasses, they are suitable for people with square face shape. If someone has a round face, and he (she) wears a pair of round glasses will look rounder and rounder. If his (her) face is a little fat, the round eyeglasses will make him (her) looks fatter and fatter.

  • I know this is old-- just answering for other visitors that happen to be seeing this 5 years later (lol). Because glasses use bent lenses, what Marc said is true. (Though they did word it as if you had to take the glasses off of a person's face to tell...) Looking through a slightly bent lens will either make an eye seem bigger or smaller. It won't seem like you are looking through a piece of plastic or straight glass, like a window. Of course, no glasses are bent so much that they basically cup your eye, so it might be hard to tell if you don't know someone's actual eye size. The simplest way to tell if they are prescription glasses or not is to literally just check if their glasses are a tad dirty. (Fingerprints, dust, etc.)If a person can't see without glasses, you better believe they will be cleaning those things every 10 minutes.

  • I had cataract surgery 2 months ago. I had one eye done and the other one 2 weeks later. My eyes were light green until the cataracts took over they became a dark greenish dark blueish, not a pretty green/blue either. Once the cataracts were removed and new lens put into my eyes for mono vision, (Toric in dominant left eye and reg. IOL in the right eye, { REG. IOL Lens way better than the TORIC lens, in my opinion after having one of each, plus reg. IOL lens alot cheaper by 1,000 plus dollars}, And I have noticed that my eye color have changed back to the original eye color of light green like I used to have before cataracts made them darker ugly color. Glad they changed back and got the cloudy out. I will say again, the reg. IOL lens that most insurance cover or at least little pay out of pocket is much better than the Toric which Im having problems with every day. Feels weird and off. Eye is irritated alot. But not the eye with the reg. IOL. There is no dry eye either. It's the Toric lens.

  • Very often eye twitching is the beginning of a neurological disorder called blepharospasm, a form of dystonia. Dystonia is evidenced by involuntary muscular contractions. You may not have that but if you do, the twitching will become spasms. The vision is not affected by this but I would like you to visit a resource site that will provide more information. www.neurowellnessnetwork.com.

  • You can try this method to get rid of the smell on your eyeglasses: Rinsing in soap and water, use a wet cotton or soft cloth to clean, Dunking in dish soap, Wash the entire frame, including the nose pads. Do not use citric based detergent or dish soap. This can damage the glasses. Dry the glasses gently with a Cotton Vest.

  • For me,I would pay the extra $5 to get an anti-glare coating. It can protect your eyes better, why not?

  • The standards vary from country to country so If in any doubt, you should contact an Authorised Medical Examiner (AME) in the country that you anticipate completing your flight training in.The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority state the following: An applicant may be assessed as fit with hypermetropia not exceeding +5.0 dioptres, myopia not exceeding -6.0 dioptres, astigmatism not exceeding 2.0 dioptres, and anisometropia not exceeding 2.0 dioptres, provided that optimal correction has been considered and no significant pathology is demonstrated. Monocular visual acuities should be 6/6 or better. Distant visual acuity, with or without correction, shall be 6/9 or better monocularly, and 6/6 or better binocularly. Initial applicants who do not meet these requirements in should be referred to the licensing authority. A fit assessment may be considered following review by an ophthalmologist. You will require a comprehensive ophthalmological examination on your initial assessment then every 5 years up to your 40th Birthday and then every 2 years.

  • In my experience, the frames are more expensive because they are a designer brand, but the quality of the frames is also better. The designs of the frames are very unique and the attention to detail on them is incredible compared to budget frames.

  • Yes, wearing sunglasses will really protect your eyes when you are tanning. The sunglasses could help you get protected from the uv rays and other bad lights. You could choose the ray ban sunglasses which could make your eyes see clearly and protected from the bad lights. You could just go to the real store of the eyeglasses or the online stores to choose one.
