  • Hand-eye coordination is the ability of coordination between hand and eye. The vision system gets information through eyes and uses this information to direct and guide our hands to execute a given task, for example, getting a flying ball or handwriting or anything we do. This ability starts to develop since infant period. When we were born, we started to see with eyes, and gradually we learned to move small objects with eyes, such as reaching and grasping. As we grew older, our hand-eye coordination skills developed that we can do more skilled work such as playing basketball, driving, dancing and so on. Inadequate hand-eye coordination is mainly caused by two problems, vision impairment and movement disorders. Because vision is impaired, people can't see objects clearly. The blurry or impaired vision directly impacts hand-eye coordination ability. Although people might have good vision, yet movement disorders stand in the way of task fulfillment too. The typical example is ataxia. The eyes give correct and fully direction, yet body movement can't handle it at all. Hand-eye coordination exists around us. What we do daily requires this ability, which is necessary and critical.

  • People who have fluctuating blood sugar levels have a higher risk of diabetic retinopathy. People who have diabetes for a very long time, like for 10 years may develop diabetic retinopathy.

  • Glaucoma can damage the optic nerve of the eyes and lead to vision loss and blindness. If you suffer from glaucoma, you should see your eye care professional regularly to protect yourself against vision loss avoid the hazard of becoming blind. But if you leave glaucoma untreated, it will result in blindness eventually.

  • People suffered from corneal edema may experience decreased vision, blurred vision and redness in the eyes. Also, some people with corneal edema can see rainbow-colored halos around the lighted objects. But if you have decreased vision or blurred vision, you can’t say you have corneal edema because there are many factors that can contribute those vision problems.

  • Well, in theory it will work. It is known that Anusol is used for treating hemorrhoids. It is supposed to soothe the area and help inflammation and swelling. A big concern is that is a medicated cream, so it could pose a hazard if it got into the eyes, so it would not be a good idea. It would be less expensive and more effective however, to purchase Aloe Vera Gel, keep it in the fridge and massage it onto the under eye area.

  • Well, yes, kidney problem can cause dry eyes. As we know that the kidneys filter waste products from the blood and remove them from the body through urine. When there are some kidney problems, it can lead to some disorders to your eyes. We can say that the most common kidney problem is interstitial nephritis, or inflammation of the tissue around the kidney's filters. So it can lead to dry eyes. For this situation, in my opinion, you can just take some foods which are rich in vitamin a. Vitamin a is good for the dry eyes. Or you should see an eye doctor. Besides, there are other less common causes including the distemper virus, radiation therapy around the eye, aging, nerve palsy or trauma. Anyway, just have a conversation with the doctor.

  • It is not suggested to swim with contact lenses. Then it is possible to help prevent bacterial contamination of your eyes.Swimming with contacts can result in eye infections, irritation and potentially sight-threatening conditions such as a corneal ulcer.

  • If you are involved in activities and sports where trauma to the face and eyes is very likely, such as a professional fighter, then Lasik may not be appropriate because of the high probability that you will suffer blows to the eye. Even if a problem is unlikely, it seems prudent to consider Lasik alternatives such as PRK, LASEK, and Epi-Lasik. These techniques, commonly known as surface ablation, do not require the Lasik flap. The patient will have a much longer vision recovery and more discomfort, but laser vision correction without a flap is available.

  • Oh, it seems that there has been something wrong with your eyes. Actually, I have had the same experience, bloodshot eyes, yes ,really terrible and I felt as if my eyes are hit hard. So, you must have been worked too hard or played video games for too long. My advice for you about this is to stay away from the causes and give your eyes enough time to recover. If things remain the same, go to see a doctor.
