There is no way to detect the lens index after they are cut. But an experienced optician should be able to feel the difference between a 1.56, 1.60 or 1.67 index lens. You can compare the thickness with your original glasses and figure out if the index is right.
The toric lens on your eye is rotating and then make the axis of astigmatism in the toric lens slightly off. So the astigmatism cannot be corrected in the right position. You need to see your doctor and have a check to see if this is the problem.
It is so dangerous for you to get the gasoline in the eyes which may avoid the fire. However, you should use the water to wash the eyes. After that, you may just let them release. In my opinion, you’d better go to the hospital to accept the professional wash for the eyes.
In my opinion, it cannot lead to pink eye. And it is very normal to have this kind of disease. Of course, when it occurs, some symptoms can occur. For example, people with this disease will have retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma. Also, it can lead to floaters in your eyes and that will make you feel annoying. Besides, according to some experts, it can lead to weaker blood vessels and have a high potential for problems later. But it cannot lead to pink eyes which are often caused by eye irritation.

I have worn contacts for 29 years and never wore glasses before that. After 12 years of only contacts I bought a pair of glasses just to have. I only wore them around the house as I didn't care for them but did kind of got used to them. Fast forward I got a new job about a year and a half ago and not allowed to wear contacts! I got new glasses and prescription safety glasses and haven't looked back! I wear contacts very seldom now as I love my glasses and my eyes feel a lot better! While contacts have some advantages I will not get them again when my supply runs out. I am boarderline for bi-focals and cant buy both. I feel that I look better with my glasses on and recommend glasses instead of contacts! I used to feel weird wearing my glasses in public but I don't now as if you need them WEAR THEM !!
Well, generally speaking, for your situation, you can just have some solution to treat your eyes. First, you need to wash your eyes with pure water as soon as possible. And in that way, it will wash the oil out of your eyes. Of course, it may not wash cleanly. So in my opinion, if you feel itchy, red eyes, you need to go and see the eye doctor as soon as possible. Maybe he will give some prescription eye drops, which can be effective for your situation. Also, some cool teabags under your eyes can be tried. Anyway, just be careful about it.

Seeing is complicated. It includes recognizing detail, distinguishing objects from their background (contrast sensitivity), having a full field of view, managing glare, and processing the visual message. Eye diseases may affect each of these differently for different people. To maximize your vision, each problem needs to be addressed for each task you want to do, and this takes time, training, and practice.
