Being a beginner to wearing contacts, you should start off only for 4 hours for a few days. Then increase it to 5-6 hours till you see if you can use it for 7-8 hours. Over using the contacts will always lead to red eyes, dry eyes, sensitivity to light, eye discharge, blurry vision and even pain on your pupils even without the contacts. You may want to get hold of a book regarding the use of contacts and what possible effects/infections you may get from wearing it. This may give you a better idea on what you're facing. Seeing and reading that book made me decide to NOT wear contacts any longer. I used contacts for over 25 years. You may want to read materials regarding the dangers of wearing contacts so you can safeguard yourself from future problems. https://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/ProductsandMedicalProcedures/HomeHealthandConsumer/ConsumerProducts/ContactLenses/ucm062589.htm https://www.livescience.com/46769-amoeba-eye-infection-contact-lens.html
