After buying a WagJag voucher, I visited this store only to be told by the owner my cost would be $475.00 AFTER taking into consideration the value of the $250 WagJag coupon. I should have listened to my instinct and walked then...forfeiting the $19 I'd already paid to WagJag. The owner (as he claimed to be) haggled with me for well over 30 minutes and, at one point asked me, "Well what will you pay?" when I objected to the costs he claimed would be the total. Now, in retrospect I shouldn't have decided on a pair of glasses after all. It cost me over $225.00 after taking the WagJag voucher off with, not 7 months later, the arm has came off. It is very evident the glasses are cheaply made; definitely NOT the "designer" made "specifically for our company" glasses I was told they were. Cheap quality and very poor customer service not once, but twice. I traveled back last week to have these repaired only to be told by the "clerk" and woman wearing a white lab coat...

These guys will go the extra mile for you. I live in eastern Ontario, but while visiting family in Dundas, I found my way over to Westdale Optical. Sales professionalism was terrific and the variety of frames and lenses are awesome; I've found nothing as stylish and high quality in my city. After several months, the coatings on my very expensive Nikon progressive lenses started to peel. My eye doctor told me to "immediately" get these lenses replaced. The defective lenses were within warranty, but by the time I got them to Westdale Optical who hastily forwarded these to Nikon, it was out of warranty. Nikon stuck to their 12 month warranty policy and rejected fixing them without an outrageous price. Jim Maclean stepped up and replaced my lenses "at his cost." Westdale Optical has earned my business, and I will without hesitation buy from them again....

  • Yes, definitely, it is very harmful for your eyes if you never take off your eye contact lenses. First of all, when you are wearing the contact lenses, the lenses are fitted onto the cornea of your eyeballs, which will limit the amount of oxygen that can get through the cornea. And because the adequate oxygen is quite essential for the health of your eyes, it is necessary for you to remove the contacts each day to allow the new oxygen to reach through the cornea so as to maintain a proper eye health. If you never take off your eye contact lenses, then the amounts of oxygen that gets through to the cornea will be very limited, which definitely can result in some more serious consequences such as infection, changes in the shape of the cornea and eyelid, and even blindness. The direct harm of never taking off your eye contact lenses is that it can lead to the development of corneal ulcers, which is referred to as ulcerative keratitis, can scar the cornea and lead to permanent damage, which can develop into long-term and permanent blindness. On the other hand, the limited amount of the oxygen supply to the cornea in the eyes will provide an ideal environment for harmful bacteria to take hold and thus cause many serious problems. Contact lenses, especially soft lenses, can absorb bacteria and allergens that will lead to irritation. Therefore, to remove contact lenses periodically as well as caring for them properly by removing your contacts periodically, preferably nightly, and store them in a proper cleansing solution can help remove bacteria from the eyes so that your eyes can stay in a healthy condition.

  • It is hard to say that how long does an eye infection take to heal. The time actually depend on the type of infection and the severity. Usually, for some people with mild eye infection, it takes a week to heal it. But for some sever eye infection, it is possible need several weeks. And during the cure time, you shall avoid your eyes from intensive sunshine and UV rays.

  • Apparently, due to monopolization, some makers of eyeglass frames own virtually every designer label and the markup is huge. As consumers, we are willing to pay a lot for eyeglasses. they are functional, they are make us look more beautiful and some of us are completely disabled if we don not have them. Therefore, the makers are going to charge us high prices. Those which has the huge brand will get high prices, please do not buy those brand name eyeglass. Just choose those which has the same quantity with low price.

If there is no any other condition or disease associated, then you might need to consider the muscles problem which control eye rotation. No matter you need to look up-close or at distance, your muscles at back of eyes need to overcome certain diopter of convergence power in order to get focused. Maybe you should get eye specialist to check your diopters of eyes. You might need a new pair of eyeglasses prescribed. Take frequent breaks to relax your eye muscles.
