Costco Wholesale, Optical Centre is a 1-star Optical Store1 Reviews

I have been a customer of Costco Optical for over 10 years. Myself and my family inclusive. I was very surprised the other day to be told VERY RUDELY by KIM at the counter that my prescription has expired since it was over 2 years and that I would need a new eye exam in ORDER TO GET NEW LENSES ORDERED. I think this is an utter money grab forcing a person who has not had a change of eye sight for the last 20 years to get a new eye exam just to order the same lenses she has been getting for the last few years. I was treated very rudely by this lady as well as quite indifferently by DENNIS the manager. I said I would take my business elsewhere and the response was WELL, THAT IS UPTO YOU. Nice to see how they treat a long time customer. Surprisingly in spite of this new rule with a prescription ending in 2 years, we discovered that my LAST order of lenses had been issued based not on my LATEST prescription but...

  • No, it is not true. The purpose of sunglasses is to help your eyes prevent from the uv and other strong sunlight. They are usually worn under the strong light, such as the beach, seaside and so on. However, it is polarized glasses that are more suitable for the drivers than the sunglasses, even if in a heavy rain whether.

  • Well, so sorry to hear that some parts of your eyes are turning yellow. Anyway, it is not very serious in the first place. However, it is not to be underestimated, because it could be a sign of some other problems, including your liver. A lot of problems could lead to yellow spots in the eyes. So, what you should do is to take a medical examination to see where went wrong before it is too late.

  • Oh, your question is very good. So, from what I know, children's eyes are very fragile and are still nurturing, which means that their eyes should be well protected from getting damaged by 3D movies or some electronic devices. 3D movies, would make our eyes strained and uncomfortable, let alone children's eyes. Now I think you know what to do! Also, try to pay attention to what they eat and their rest. and use of eyes.

  • Hopefully the prism will correct the double vision and stop you having to close one eye to watch television. Prism is prescribed to correct a muscle imbalance between the two eyes but will not make the muscles weaker. There are six external muscles that control each eye, and one group of muscles may be stronger then the other.

  • The person who is under the age of 18 should not wear the contact lenses because their eyeballs are immature. And they can not clean the contact lenses well and insert and take off well so that they would hurt their eyes. If they have to wear them, please choose the one of parabolic type or days of parabolic type. The shorter they wear the contact lenses, the healthier their eyes are.

  • Actually, Cleaning titanium sunglasses is same to clean the normal eyeglasses. Wash the titanium frame with a mild liquid dish soap and warm water. Work the soap into a foaming lather, and gently rub it over the metal to remove any dirt, grease or grime. Rinse the frame with warm water and dry using a clean towel.

  • Yes, it could that. Staring at the sun is extremely dangerous and it would cause permanent damage to the eyes. Just like the skin, the eye is an extremely sensitive area that could be burned by UV rays. The human eye restricts bright light naturally, but that process itself creates a focused stream of light pointed directly at the macula. The macula is the part of the eye in charge of the major portion of vision. This kind of intense exposure can literally create a burn on the surface of the eye causing the cells to blister and crack.

  • Ptosis is usually referred to the blepharoptosis, for the performance of the part or all upper eyelid. It can not raise the eyelid lower edge which covers cornea edge too much. The palpebral fissure appears more normal palpebral fissure to be small. It is known that the ptosis can be treated and corrected well through the surgery. If you want to treat well not through the surgery, you could do in other ways. You could keep on using the oil essential which could be absorbed by the skin. Then the skin around the eyes will be smooth and tight which could reduce the symptom of the ptosis. You could choose the good type of the oil essential and try on using this way. It could be effective and safe. You'd better choose the brand one with oil essential which could promise the quality.

  • If both of your parents are nearsighted, then chance increases that you will also develop myopia. The subsequent environment can also cause the myopia to happen like too much close work. When you are trying to see things far away, they look blurry, then you are suffering myopia.

  • Subconjunctival hemorrhage is mainly caused by sneezing, coughing, straining, increasing the veins of the head, eye rubbing or inserting contact lenses, conjunctivitis, bleeding or inhibiting normal clotting caused by medical disorder and a severe eye infection. If you have hypertension or diabetes, you can easily get subconjunctival hemorrhage because of high blood sugar concentration or chronic elevated blood pressure which results in the fragility of blood vessel. And if you often take any anticoagulant medications like aspirin or warfarin or blood thinning herbs, you will easily have subconjunctial hemorrhage as well. You can take vitamin C and grape seed to strengthen your blood vessels and get rid of subconjunvtial hemorrhage. If the condition is getting worse, you should see ophthalmologist to ask for help.
