For some reason I expected these to be just average daily wear glasses- nothing special but functional, pleasant enough, and a nice change from tortoise shell. But WOW! I put them on and my face lit up! Biting they are not! They have a tortoise-y effect but are brighter with their underlying deep burgundy red tones. They instantly bring roses to your cheeks and make your eyes appear brighter. The frames are cleverly designed so that while smallish, they still give the impression of large frames without overwhelming the face or calling attention to under eye circles or bags. The two little studs at the temples give the impression of a slight uplift at the edges which avoids the downward cast sometimes found with typical warfare design. All around kudos to the designer(s)! These are terrific!

Very satisifed with these frames they are on the smaller side but they are perfect for my face

The "burgundy" is a lot more purple than I expected, but fit perfect and very cute!
