In Dec 2010 I bought a pair of prescription glasses in AZ from Paris Optique for $608. They measured my face and used my own glasses to obtain the prescription. They shipped them to me in Dallas and the glasses were unusable. My optometrist reviewed them and determined the prescription was correct but the measurement was wrong. Paris Optique replaced them with a new pair but they were still unusable. I went back to doctor and she placed red dots on the lenses where my pupils were supposed to line up. The right eye was correct, but the left eye was way off. I wrote Paris Optique and called to explain but they never responded. I offered to keep the frames and send back the lenses but I received a voice mail from the owner, Fanny, stating their "no refund" policy. I understand these are custom lenses and I would never try to return them if I just changed my mind, but the policy implies the glasses will work. I don't understand...

  • 50 means the width of the lens, 18 means the distance of the bridge, 140 means the length of the temple or the arm.

  • I believe that there is no such thing as free lunch.Even you can get them for free, they will not last long.So you can go for some discounted prescription glasses in your local area or online stores.

  • Definitely yes. I appreciate their free offer very much. Im disabled and i lived single with very very low income. Firmoo rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The regular glasses need your both hands to put them on. Sometimes your left hand is occupied by other stuff, and then you will feel troublesome because you must use both hands to put on your glasses. However, the spring hinges glasses can help you put your glasses on with one hand. The springs embedded at the meeting point of the frames and temples will push the temples right at place, erect and firm, at the lightest motion you give them. Such convenience is only shadowed by their enormous durability.

  • Whether wearing computer glasses all the time would do harm to your eyes or not, you shouldn't do that because the computer glasses are prescribled for seeing a computer screen only. If you wear them all the time, you will find things blurry when you view distant and you may get headache. So only use your computer glasses while looking at a computer screen only.

  • You may goggle "cheap eyeglasses"online, then you will see many online stores, usually the result ranking in the front are the most popular and famous one, you can also go to their facebook wall, twitter or their website to see customers review, you may learn a lot from there. Compare the price/ quality and the styles of all products. Ask your friends who have purchased eyeglasses online before, the recommendation from them will be much appreciated. Hope you can have a nice purchasing experience.

  • Unlike with bifocals and trifocals, which really require large-size frames, the use of progressive lenses allows many eyeglass wearers to choose smaller frames; the technology involved in progressive lenses already makes it possible to have enough space for the glasses' nearer area for reading and the farther area for looking at a distance. Although larger frames generally allow for better optical coverage, the person preferring a smaller frame can be accommodated; the eye care professional can measure the frame and lenses to determine the kind of progressive lens that will work best in the specific smaller frame preferred.

  • Yup, simply choose bifocal lenses for your frame and then ask the manufacturer to tint the lenses for you. If you're going to get them online, just select tints while choosing add-ons. Thats it!
