  • I believe your reds eyes after skining is a combination of wind, glare, low humidity and less oxygen. Rewetting drops don't really help nor do drops for the redness. Goggles help but not enough. An optician once told me that contacts love either cold/dry or hot/humid conditions so skiing should be good for them. I am currently trying new monthly torics, Proclear and Frequency Xcel. I also have dry eyes. the proclear has a higher water content and I find them less comfortable. these lenses need more water which my eye is not producing.Red eyes mean something is irritating them. I assume you wear googles or wrap around shades so it should not be wind or glare. it might have something to do with the fit of your lens or the oxygen supply to the eye. probably best to see an optician for a check up.

  • Yes, it's absolutely safe, but don't expect too much from it unless you want to prevent/treat eye illnesses related to age (such as macular degeneration) or other retinal disorders . If your problem is just eye-strain or you'd like to improve your eyesight, lutein will be useless.

  • Well, for your situation, I have to say that your eyes may suffer from eye infection after the cataract surgery. First, you should know that cataract surgery is an operation to remove the clouded lens. But after the surgery, you need to be careful about your eyes in the first several weeks after eye surgery, or it will just lead to an infection or inflammation that irritates the eyes. Finally, it will just cause ghosting in your eyes. Of course, it will slow down the recovery process too. To make sure the cataract surgery effective, just avoid your eyes being infected by some bacteria.

  • High intake of fruit and vegetables will help with the healing from cataract surgery. People who eat lots of yellow or dark leafy vegetables as well as foods rich in vitamin E will also be helpful. Lutein and zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids detected in the human lens and these nutrients play a role in preserving lens clarity. Moreover, higher intakes of vitamin C or the combined intake of antioxidants had long-term protective associations against development of nuclear cataract. Hope this helpful.

  • Usually an eye exam will cost us $50-$70. A pair of prescription glasses will cost us nearly $100.but sometimes, they will cost us more than that. The price varies from place to place because the living standard is different from each other. So consult the local people and then you can know the exactly money the local eyeglasses stores will charge.

  • Chlamydia is a kind of bacteria and this can definitely cause some infections to ur eyes.By the way,it not only happens to adults but also happens to new born babies sometimes. That is why pregnant women are always required to do all kinds of tests during their pregnancy. What is even worse,ur baby can even go blind if u don't cure this during ur pregnancy. In some cases,u can get this quite easily when u r in water such as in a public swimming pool and so on.Anyway,u really need to be very careful.

  • I can share some of my experience with you. If you want to find sunglasses that worth the best value, it is a good choice to get some discounted designer sunglasses such as Rayban. There are some online stores that specially provide discounted designer sunglasses. You can search "discounted designer sunglasses" on google.

  • You can use a few ways to remove excess germs and cellular debris over your eyelids. I found this on the internet: first, put a few drops of mild baby shampoo into a cup of warm water and stir it for a while. Second, close your eyelids and then use a cotton wool ball to brush the soapy solution along the base of your eyelashes gently. It is always important to avoid touching your eyelids with dirty towels or contaminated hands.

  • It will take time to adjust to the shifting of the contacts. I think the contacts will attach to our eyeballs and will move with our eyeballs. But sometimes they will move in their own way. Just blink your eyes for several times again to try to replace them. And if this doesn't affect your vision, you can wear them for few days first. If you can't adjust to this, go and see an optometrist and talk with him or her.

  • Okay you can use a string, but that will look like a grandma, that's a joke, actually. Here is my suggestion. First, go to the store which the sunglasses came from, then ask them to modify the frame for your, to make it suitable for you. Secondly, if you want to do it at home, you can use an appropriate spinner to tighten it.
