General Impression:

Americas Best at the Brickyard is the absolute best. This is by far the friendliest and most affordable optical store that I have ever visited. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors are also very friendly and helpful as well. Setting and appointment is super easy even if it is a same day appointment. There is a wide selection of affordable frames to choose from and they don't try to get you to buy the most expensive ones. They also have the cheapest prices around on contact lenses. I would recommend joining their eyecare club, which you pay for, but it includes 2 eye exams a year and discounts on glasses and contact lenses.

  • Lazy eye often affects children with crossed eyes or those who have one eye that for some reason does not see as well as the other eye. The correct term is amblyopia and means the vision is reduced through disuse. This occurs when the brain is receiving such different images from the two eyes that it ignores one of them. Again, early treatment gives the best results. Sometimes the better eye is covered with a patch to stimulate and strengthen the lazy eye. However, patching alone does not usually restore good vision. Unless something is done to correct the underlying cause of the condition, the vision will become poor again once the patching is stopped.

  • Hello, your question is quite interesting while it can only depend on yourself. The answer may be the more the better if you are willing to afford more money for convenience. For your situation, you can buy 3 pairs of glasses. One for using computer and watching Tv, One for using on the road and on in your working office. That may help!

  • Honey mainly consists of fructose and glucose, and contains some microscale vitamins such as vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and so on, which depends on the species of the bees, the sources of honey, and the environment. Taking moderate amount of honey can be good to your health, while its function in fighting against the cataracts is still up to be researched. To fight against cataracts in the way of daily diet, you can take in those foods which are rich in vitamin C and carotene. This is because that the vitamin C can prevent the forming of cataracts and decrease the damage of the lights and oxygen to the crystalline lenses. If there is an insufficiency of vitamin C in your body, then the crystalline lenses can easily get degenerated and muddy which can lead to cataracts. Therefore, you can eat more potatoes, spinach, onions, celery cabbages, strawberries, oranges, and other fresh vegetables.

  • Have you heard about the prescription goggles? They are made based on your prescription to correct your vision. So it is possible to put prescription lenses in your goggles.Take it to your nearby optical store with your prescription and see if they can do it for you.

  • It depends on your habits use for the spectacle. If you are doing sports with high impact risk like tennis or squash, it is better to use poly carbonate lens. The reason is because poly carbonate have high impact resistance. If the spectacle is for everyday use like reading or attending classes, I would recommend plastic lens.

  • These are good helpful answers, thank you. I have suffered acid reflux for 8 years, I have been on Prilosec (prescription) non stop for 4 years. Which now leads to weak hip bones, as it makes your bones porous. But at 50, I can deal with it. I had started to have burning eyes three weeks ago, it drove me batty! I was also having a bad gerd attack. My dr informed me that yes it is related, and yes you need to drink lots of water.

  • Children are able to wear anti-glare glasses if they do need. However, the anti-glare coating may be easy to get damaged because children are too careful and can't take good care of them.

  • There is no best supplement for eyes. Because the eyes need various types of supplement to keep health, and some are necessary supplements that can keep eye vision in a good way. Firstly, the lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids that are included in some fruits and vegetables. They are antioxidants that act as sunglasses in the retina to prevent UV rays to damage eyes. Then, bilberry is also called blueberry, which is known as vision herb to improve night vision and prevent glaucoma and computer-vision fatigue, also strengthen retinal capillary. Next, ginkgo biloba fights free-radical damage in the retina, and improve blood flow to increase supplement of oxygen and nutrients in the optic nerve. The last one is omega-3 fatty acids, which can be founded in fish mainly to improve vision. Those are the internal supplement of eye vision. You had better take care eyes in daily life as well. It's better for you to take rest for 20 minutes, and don't smoke if it's possible.
