In the Hammonton, optometrists can be found in the vicinity of a chain optical retail store, or in an independent optometrist's office. Optometrists are trained to address both vision refractive errors and eye health. Many optometrists sell high-end eyeglasses and contact lenses in their practices with the most professional possible services in addition to performing eye exams and writing prescriptions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors (MD) in the eye care and vision health who perform eye exams, write prescription for eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, diagnose and treat eye diseases and carry out eye surgery. Ophthalmologist's responsibility is much beyond that of optometrist.

  • It is hard to say, because I do not know your exact situation. But I can also give you some tips on how to hide lazy eyes. You can make up yourself before you go out, I suggest that you get more sleep, which is the basis of good health. Other tips cannot solve the problem from the root. So, good luck to you.

  • I think you can make the letters large enough so you won't need to strain your eyes to read. This will eliminate the side effect. I also think that as long as you take regular breaks and look up or look at the distance often, you will be fine. I think it will not be worse than reading on paper. but you should adjust the backlight of the screen too.

  • I've searched from google about your question and this link may help you: https://www.ehealthme.com/cs/high blood pressure/photophobia

  • It happens to me a lot because I never wear glasses. The sands would come into my eyes easily especially in windy days. I think it is better to wear sunglasses when outside. If there is sand or dust in your eyes, don't rub your eyes cuz you may scratch the cornea. Close and open them for several times and they will come out.

  • IN fact. it is same as you clean other eyeglasses. Just rinse your glasses under warm water and wash them carefully with mild soap and warm water. Then, use a cotton or soft cloth to clean and dry the lenses. Next, you use a toothbrush to grime off the nose pads and frames gently until the eyeglasses frames are clan. And be careful when you clean the frames, do not graze your lenses.

  • Most of people do that just to follow the trend. People wear goggles at raves to avoid the strong light and the fireworks. Then they can be safe form the radiation. And most of the people with eye problem like to wear goggles. People can be supper high at raves, in order to keep themselves save in that crowd and chaotic venue. I find that's okay to wear goggles at raves because that's safe and cool.

  • If you have used your glasses for many years and have never cleaned them in an optical shop, you may get acne or eye infections from your eyeglasses because there are many bacteria on them but we can't see them. I recommend you to try a kind of solution which can help clean your eyeglasses. Once my optician told me that the solution can prevent my eyeglasses from corrosion and rusting. And it can kill the bacteria on the lenses too. But I got that bottle of solution for free because I bought the glasses in his shop.

  • Actually the PD has nothing to do with eye exam and it is not required in the US or Canada either. The doctor would only measure it if you are going to buy glasses from them at the same time. You can aslo measure you PD by yourself at home with a ruler and a mirror.

  • You can get wraparound sunglasses from online shop with less amount of money. Besides, you can go local stores to buy the sunglasses. Almost every online optical shop has wraparound sunglasses. As we know, California has many cities and many glasses shops, so, where you go it totally depend on you. Maybe you can have a look in a eyeglasses shop that near to your house.

  • In most case, mayopia is simply a minor inconvenience and poses little or no risk to the health of the eye. But sometimes myopia can be so progressive and severe it is considered a degenerative condition.
Degenerative myopia (also called malignant or pathological myopia) is a relatively rare condition that is believed to be hereditary and usually begins in early childhood. About 2 percent of Americans are afflicted, and degenerative myopia is a leading cause of legal blindness.
In malignant myopia, the elongation of the eyeball can occur rapidly, leading to a quick and severe progression of myopia and loss of vision. People with the condition have a significantly increased risk of retinal detachment and other degenerative changes in the back of the eye, including bleeding in the eye from abnormal blood vessel growth.
