  • The white part of the eyes can be called sclera. It is normally a thick tissue. it becomes translucent and allows the underlying tissue to show through if it thins. If you are suffering from this kind of situation, the blue thing you see might be veins. There are several things which can cause thinning of the sclera. They are aging, not having enough iron in your blood, some medications (like steroids). In most cases, the thinning of sclera is not serious. But they can sometimes be a sign of something more serious like Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Russell Silver Syndrome, Pyknodysostosis, Hallermann- Schermann-Streiff syndrome and Marfan Syndrome. These are rare and you would have other symptoms as well. It would probably be a good idea to see an opthalmologist ASAP. Hope this helped!

  • Fogging happens because water molecules in the air are attracted to a hard surface that is much colder than the ambient temperature. You can use some white vinegar, rub the solution on both sides of your glasses lenses and let dry, remember don't rinse or wipe away. But the best way to avoid it entirely is to apply an anti fog treatment to your glasses. Treat your glasses with commercially made anti fogging solution. They are inexpensive and come in a portable pump spray bottle.

  • All right, sounds like you are really fond of playing football right? So, it is true that while we are playing football, we might face strong sunshine and our eyes would get very uncomfortable. So, I recommend some good sunglasses with perfect UV protection, such as Ray Ban, their sports sunglasses are also spoken highly of, you can take a look at them. They would make you free from some sunshine outdoors.

  • Yes, eating eggs is good for the eyesight. What's more, eating the food with calcium is also good for the eye sight. A lot of people think that the things that can protect the eyes from the harmful ray damage and aging attack is vitamin C and vitamin A. However, the efficiency of these two kinds of vitamin belongs to the plant pigment lutein and corn flavin and in our daily life. In addition to dark green leafy vegetables outside, if we often sit in front of computers, we might as well eat an egg yolk or eggs which do help for our eyes. Thus, keep a habit of eating eggs every day.

  • It is terrible to get somthing into eyes. Your eyes may burn and become extremely red. Rinse them immediately with plenty of water. Using water to wash your eyes, if necessary, get someone to help you open your eyes. Your eyes may be tearing a lot, which means eyes are trying to wash the mouthwash out too, so don't worry about it. After a while, you will be fine. Just please be more careful. If you still feel very uncomfortable of your eyes, you must go to see the doctor.

  • If the sunglasses always slip down your nose when you wear it, it may mean that the sunglasses may be a little bigger for you. You'd better adjust the position of the nose pad of the sunglasses which could be tight and let you wear comfortable. You could use the screwdriver to do this.

  • Usually, astigmatism will not cause droopy eyelid. Actually it is one of the causes of astigmatism. Droopy eyelid (it is also called ptosis or blepharoptosis) is a kind of condition in which the position of the upper lid is abnormally low. It can be divided into acquired ptosis and congenital ptosis while the former is more common. The Acquired ptosis is caused by the weakness or degeneration of the muscles that elevates the eyelids. The congenital ptosis is in-born due to the underdevelopment of levators. There are various causes of acquired ptosis, such as trauma in the muscles, aging. Some kinds of surgeries can result in ptosis. Besides, eye tumors, neurological disorders or some systematic diseases are the possible causes of droopy eyes. If the ptosis is mild, no treatment is needed. If it is severe, blepharoplasty surgery is necessary.

  • Well, yes, in my opinion, astigmatism can just lead to eye floaters in some degree. First, you should know that astigmatism is merely a visual condition of the eye that is caused by its shape. And according to some researches, astigmatism is the result of an eye, which has two different powers, and it splits the focus point into two different partial focus points. And then, some symptoms can occur. For example, eye floaters, blurry vision, shadow images, eye muscle spasms, eyestrain, and headaches can be possible. So it can be very dangerous to have it. Of course, you can just wear contact lenses to correct it, and contact lenses can be better than glasses.

  • You may be qualified to get a free test on the NHS if you are under 19 and in full-time education. Also diebetes or glaucoma in your family history qualifies for free.

  • Well, generally speaking, a hordeolum is a small infection of the glands in the eye, which are located in the eyelids. And then, because of the infection, a red bump on the eyelid which looks like a pimple will occur. To treat it, you can just try some tea bag, which contains many different objects which do a good job to stye. In my opinion, you can just try tea bag. First, you can just use a cool tea bag and put it on your eyes. Just do this for a few times everyday. After several days, it can relieve your symptom. Anyway, you can have a try.
