Progressive Eyeglasses

No More "On & Off"
One Pair for All Distances

Bifocals vs. Progressives

Bifocals and progressives can help to see multiple distances without switching between reading glasses and regular glasses constantly. So you don't need to carry two or three pairs of glasses every day any more. Without a noticeable line in the lenses like bifocals, progressives are much more aesthetically-pleasing and offer a better option for a smooth transition from distance through intermediate to near.

- Two viewing areas
- Visible line in the lenses
- For reading, watching TV and using hand-held devices

- Three viewing areas
- No line in the lenses
- For all purpose, especially for computer work, meeting and driving

Difference between Standard Progressive Lens and Advanced Progressive Lens

Both standard progressive lenses and advanced progressive lenses have a gradual transition in power from the top to the bottom of the lens. However, advanced progressive lenses (Free-form lenses) allow you to achieve better optics by utilizing free form technology. In addition to enhancing the inherent feature of standard progressive lenses, advanced lenses provide as well broader visual field and less peripheral distortion area by adding the progressives on the backside of the lens, making wearers relieving from dizziness caused by the "swim" effect. Thus, compared with the standard progressive lens, free-form lenses are easier to be adapted to.

All progressive lenses can be tinted or processed with photochromic function, while blue-light blocking and polarized functions are not available for progressives.

What Frames are Suitable for Progressive Lens?

Progressive lens has specific requirements for frame height and shape to ensure and an accurate segment height and an enough space for the three viewing areas. Usually, the frame height is better to be among 30-40mm. Round, aviator and some unique cat eye frames should be avoided when choosing frames for progressives, or the reading area may be cut off.
