As the name implies, Pinhole glasses, are eyeglasses made with the lenses with many pinhole. They are also also known as stenopeic glasses. The design of the eyeglasses is try to allow very less amount of light enter the eyes, thus to reduce the sizes of circle of confusion on the retina. From this point, the eyeglasses are good option for wearing in summer.

Many people suffered eye problems. Usually, we choose prescription glasses for correction. However, we can also choose pinhole glasses for improving our sight. Pinhole glasses can help us to strength our eye muscle. The hole can reduce the width of the bundle of rays from each hole. Pinhole glasses can be a very important tool for preventing myopia. However, pinhole glasses are not useful for people with over 6 diopters. Therefore, if you do not suffer strong myopia, you can choose a pair of pinhole glasses for excise your eye muscle. Remember, pinhole glasses cannot replace the prescription glasses.

Pinhole glasses which are well known as stenopeic glasses are eyeglasses with a series of pinhole-sized perforations filling an opaque sheet of plastic in place of each lens. While pinhole glasses are not made of glass at all, but of an opaque substance such as metal or plastic. The user looks through any of the many small holes in the material. Pinholes can bring about clearer vision in all these conditions. With what we now know about the environmental cause of acquired myopia, we can make the claim that pinholes have a legitimate use in myopia prevention. But pinhole glasses can help improve eyesight if used together with eye exercises when used for reading or other close work, pinholes reduce the amount of accommodation or focusing power that the eye must use to see clearly.

Yes, it can do that. Pinhole glasses are known as stenopeic glasses, which has some pinhole-sized perforations filling a plastic sheet on each lens. Only a narrow beam of regular light instead of irregular light is allowed enter the eyes. It's helpful to strength the depth of field on the retina to avoid refractive error. You can use the pinhole glasses to develop eye muscles in order to present a clear image in front of you.

Pinhole glasses, also known as stenopeic glasses, are eyeglasses with a series of pinhole-sized perforations filling an opaque sheet of plastic in place of each lens. Similar to the workings of a pinhole camera, each perforation allows only a very narrow beam of light to enter the eye which reduces the size of the circle of confusion on the retina and increases depth of field. In eyes with refractive error, the result is claimed to be a sharper image. However, a second effect may appear at the common bridge between each two adjacent holes, whereby two different rays of light coming from the same object (but each passing through a different hole) are diffracted back toward the eye and onto different places on the retina. This leads to double vision (objects having doubled edges) around the rim of each hole the eye is not focussing on, which can make the overall image disturbing and tiring to look at for prolonged periods of time.
Unlike conventional prescription glasses, pinhole glasses produce an image without the pincushion effectaround the edges (which makes straight lines appear curved). While pinhole glasses are claimed to be useful for people who are both near- and far-sighted, they are not recommended for people with over diopters ofmyopia. Additionally, pinhole glasses reduce brightness and peripheral vision, and thus should not be used for driving or when operating machinery.
