What is the difference between blepharitis and eczema?

How can i tell if i suffer blepharitis or eczema? What's their differences?

    Blepharitis is a disorder of meibormium glands of eyelids. This kind of glands are responsible for lipids producing which can lubricate eyes. Yet, as to blepharitis, the glands are inflammed and get blocked. So the common symptoms of blepharitis are eye dryness, irritation, redness, soreness and itching. It occurs on the eyelid margin, normally caused by eye fatigue, bacterial infection transmitted by hands while rubbing eyes, food allergies, or chemical irritations, for example mascara. If any frequent recurrent sty, then the patient should take diabetes examinations. Yet as to eczema, it is called dermatitis as well, a general term of various skin inflammation. It could happen on many parts of body, legs, arms or hands, which is totally different from blepharitis. And dermatitis gives the patient with dry and red skin, itching or burning. Its appearance varies from person to person. You can see they are totally different type of skin inflammation. There is no way to mix them.

    Well, generally speaking, Blephariti is inflammation and it occurs on the part of the eyelid where the eyelashes grow. Because of it, your eyes can eventually become red, irritated and itchy. And when the small oil glands near the base of the eyelashes don't work properly, it can be possible too. Also, for some other symptoms, double vision and blurred vision can be possible. On the other hand, when you get eczema around your eyes, it can causes red, itchy and inflamed patches, and then it may swell. In common, eye infection can be the most common cause of eczema. For the treatments, you can use cool compresses to your eye area to relieve discomfort and itching, and also it can reduce swelling. So you can just check your own situation with them.
