In fact, it is possible to get high eye pressure from thyroid. Thyroid is an autoimmune condition in which our body's immune system is producing factors that stimulate enlargement of the muscles that move the eye. Therefore it can lead to eye pressure and result in bulging eyes, retraction of the lids, blurred vision, red eyes, decreased vision, and ocular irritation. As for the treament, there are some tips which can be helpful to treat thyroid. Hope it will be beneficial. 1: You can take foods that are rich in Vitamin A such as carrots and eggs. Seafood is also effective because it contains high levels of iodine. 2: Food like sugar, white flour and Saturated fats should be restrained. It is bad for thyroid. 3: Taking exercise regularly can be beneficial, because it will help to improve blood flow, and help to supply the cells with fresh nutrients and oxygen at the same time, it can burn off toxins.

In some cases, it is possible that people with thyroid disorders may have a higher likelihood of getting high eye pressure and developing the eye disease of glaucoma. The thyroid is responsible for making hormones that are necessary for every cell in the body to function. The growth and rate of chemical reactions is also partly regulated by hormones that originate in the thyroid. In fact, the eye disease is leading cause of irreversible blindness in the world. There are some links between high eye pressure and thyroid. For example, hypothyroidism, which is an underactive thyroid, can help to increase chemical deposits in the group of vessels that bring blood to and from the eye. This can lead to an increase in pressure within the eyeball, which is a main symptom of glaucoma. To avoid this condition, you should go to the doctor's for an overall examination so as to seek correct medications or surgery, if necessary.

Thyroid, in vertebrate anatomy, is one of the largest endocrine glands. The most common thyroid problems involve abnormal production of thyroid hormones. Too much thyroid hormone causes hyperthyroidism. While insufficient contributes to hypothyroidism. Hypertension usually refers to high eye pressure, which should not be considered a disease by itself. An imbalance in the production and drainage of fluid in the eye can cause high pressure in eye. Too much water in eyes also lead to high pressure. Thyroid can cause eye pressure in eye because of too much thyroid hormones in body.
