Is there any hope for adults with lazy eyes?

I am 20 and have lazy eyes. I wonder if there is any chance to cure it at my age. Will surgery work?

If lazy eyes are not treated at early age, it is considered untreatable in adults because the brain wasn't thought to be plastic enough. Even if you can have surgery to cosmetically straighten the eye, your vision can't be improved.

Lazy eye should be treated at an early age. Otherwise it can't be corrected in adult because your brain has adapted your lazy eye and it is impossible to make the brain to again "listen" to the deviated eye while both eyes are open.
