I read an article, it is said that people over the age of 60 in England and Wales are now entitled to free eye tests, announced by Department of Health. Aside from people over 60, the following people can also get free eye test. People have a listed medical condition and a valid NHS medical exemption certificate People have made an NHS Low Income Scheme claim and have a valid NHS exemption certificate (HC2) People with Income Support or Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance

Yes. You can get a free eye test through NHS if you are over 60. There are some other conditions that allow people to get a free eye test through NHS. People who are diagnosed with glaucoma or at the risk of developing glaucoma can get a free eye exam according to NHS. And people who are diagnosed with diabetic and blindness or partially sighted can aslo get a free eye test according to NHS.
