Progressive lens glasses are more expensive than regular eyeglasses because they are made differently. Regular eyeglasses lenses only have one focus that only help people to see far or near. However, progressive lenses have many focus on the lenses that allow you see all distances from far distance to things around you. Besides, compared with bifocal lenses, progressive lenses are more beautiful because there is no visible lines on the lenses.

Many people suffer both myopia and hyperopia. This problem makes these people feel very inconvenient, because they have to change glasses when they see near distance from far distance. progressive glasses solved this problem. People who wear progressive glasses can see both near and far distance without changing glasses. Because the lenses are very special, the price is higher compared with the normal prescription glasses. The material and the processing technology both increase the cost of progressive glasses.

Becacuse there are many advantages of progressive lens,Progressive lenses, sometimes called "no-line bifocals," give you a more youthful appearance by eliminating the visible lines found in bifocal (and trifocal) lenses.Progressive lenses more closely mimic natural vision before the onset of presbyopia. Instead of providing just two lens powers like bifocals (or three, like trifocal), progressive lenses are true "multifocal" lenses that provide a smooth, seamless progression of many lens powers for clear vision across the room, up close and all distances in between. With progressive lenses, there's no need to bob your head up and down or adopt uncomfortable postures to see your computer screen or other objects at arm's length.
Holding your head in a comfortable position, you can simply look straight ahead to see in the distance, move your eyes slightly downward to view your computer through the intermediate zone and lower your gaze a bit farther to read comfortably up close.
