Rubbing your eyes can actually cause sweling. If you rub eyes frequently, the eyeballs are under pressure which will suffer pain and the eye muscles around the eyes will get intensified, thus you will feel itching. If you do not stop rubbing, the eyes surrounding parts will get swelling. So, you'd better not rub the eyesyes.
