It is possible to cause eye strain because of reading too much ipad. Ipad has a backlit LCD screen, similar to a computer monitor. Even though these devices generate their own light, you may want to keep a lamp on close by, thus there would develop a stark contrast between the screen and your surroundings which can cause eyes train. To avoid it, you should take brief breaks during reading.

Yes, it is possible for you to cause eye strain because of reading too much ipad because of the glare screen stimulation. You could wear the computer glasses when you play the ipad which could prevent your eyes from the radiation. You could also use some eye drops to release your eye strain after using the ipad.

Well, actually not only reading ipad, but also staring at computers in a long time can cause eye strain and eye dry. The long time for reading and watching are easy to cause eye problems, such as eye dry, eye strain and red eyes. You'd better have a reasonable time schedule of reading, or your eyes might suffer pain and discomfort, especially eyesight problems. By the way, if you feel dry and tired about your eyes, take a rest at once and watch green things for a while.
