What are effects of sugar on eyesight?

Is it really bad for eyes to eat too much sugar? If so, How can i prevent it?

    Generally speaking, it's really bad for your eyes if you eat too much sugar. Because eating too much sugar will finally give rise to high blood sugar, which is not good for eyes and will have many effects on the eyes. For example, it will develops to diabetes, which impact eye sight a lot. Besides, it impact eyes and cause problems in the retina, just like blurred vision, contract as well as diabetic retinopathy. On the other hand, eating too much sugar can damage blood vessels in the eyes and can lead to the growth of new blood vessels there. These new blood vessels are so weak and delicate that they are easy to leak or even burst. Accordingly, it's important to take this problem seriously. You should take care of the diet and sleeping quality. In order to prevent it, you could eat more food with vitamin A and C. If the situation is severe, you'd better go to see the doctor and accept the treatment as soon as possible.

    Yes. too much sugar intake is bad for eyesight, also bad for our teeth. Since too much sugar in your body will consume a large amount of vitamin B1.Also, it will reduce the calcium in our body. And the lacking of vitamin B1 is very bad for eyes and make your eyesight poorer. And the reducing of calcium can also contribute to the developemnt of myopia.

Now some bad side effects are listed to help you know more about how sugar to ruin our health. Sugar can suppress your immune system and upset the mineral relationships in the body. Sugar also can increase reactive oxygen species, which can damage cells and tissues. Also, sugar can reduce the body’s ability to defend against bacterial infection. According to these bad effects, the one should have sugar in a proper quantity. Avoiding eating high sugar foods. Doing exercises in daily life to reduce high pressure in blood vessels and cells.
