No, you had better stop cooking for at least one week after the cataract surgery. This is because that when you are cooking, there will be much steam of water and oil which can easily get into your eyes, making your eyes uncomfortable. Sometimes the boiled oil may even get inot your eyes. Besides, there can be other irritative smell during the cooking that can cause discomfort in your eyes. And if the condition is serious, the effects of the cataract surgery can be badly damaged. Therefore, you should not cook after the surgery. In addition, do not lift heavy things or bend down to pick up things and so on.

No, you can not, this can be very bad to your eyes. your eyes are very weak after this surgery. And you really need time to get them recovered instead of damaging them. Actually, there are some instructions that your need to know after this surgery. Never wear contacts after this surgery cuz this can give you an eye infection quite easily and you may even go blind cuz of this. And cook is also forbidden after it, the heat will damage your eyes. If it is convenient for you, you had better wear youe sunglasses everywhere. This is all I can tell you. Good luck!
