Do peolpe have Diabetes and macular degeneration still need to have a dilated eye exam?

Is it true that people have diabetic don't need to have a dilated eye exam because they have macular degeneration? Why and why not?

    It is not true . People with diabetes should have annual dilated eye examinations.It is critical for all adults to have regular dilated eye exams because there often are no early warning signs to indicate the development of retinopathy or age-related macular degeneration.
