The basic eye exam at lenscrafters would cost you $59. However, if you need to get a comprehensive eye exam, you should pay more $35 for your eye exam. But You may find the price of the eye exam different in different places. Some optomologists at Lenscrafters would charge you about $75 for the exam. And some people will pay $150 for the exam. So you'd better go to the lenscrafters near you in your local place to get more information about the eye exam so that you can know the exact cost of the eye exam you will take.

This question has a complicated answer. Most Lenscrafters optometrists are independent and set their own pricing. So you should contact the office you'd like to visit and ask for their pricing and policies prior to scheduling. You can expect to pay anywhere from $40 - $350 for your exam depending on the office, the services performed, and your vision needs. For example, at our office a comprehensive health examination is $105, a refraction is $45, a digital retinal photo is $39, and if you want contacts your contact lens fitting could range from $60 to $150 (more complicated visual needs take more chair time and follow up visits and so cost more). Of course you can choose which services you would like to receive and we offer discounts for private pay patients, AAA, AARP, veterans, teachers, etc. Other offices will have different pricing for those services and may recommend additional testing, such as an in depth visual field analysis, OCT, or corneal topography. The best plan is to contact the office you're intending to visit prior to scheduling. One last thing, if you're looking to save money, DO NOT VISIT LENSCRAFTERS. We're one of the highest priced, retail chains when it comes to exams and eye glasses. However there is a good reason for this. At Lenscrafters you're going to get a much higher quality product after a much more thorough exam using the latest technology than the other retail chains. I think the price may vary from place to place. The price of an eye exam may depend on the state in which you live and which lenscrafters store you will choose to go. And usually the eye doctor will set the price. Different kind of services will charge differently. But I think it will cost you more money to have an eye exam because you don't have insurance.

I agree with the guy. The price for an eye exam in lenscrafters varies from store to store. The doctor located next lenscrafters will set the price. So if you want to know how much does an eye exam will cost in the store you choose, you may need to call the store for more information. And they will charge you extra money for you don't have insurance. I think may be the total price is around $100. Good luck!

You obviously got to this page to find out Lenscrafters eye exam cost. The Lenscrafters eye exam cost for a basic exam sits at around $60 mark. This price is slightly pricier than at other chains, but also cheaper than some others. Also, this cost does not take into account things such as coupons. The eye exam cost at each individual Lenscrafters store is not the same, but instead they each have individual pricing. Because of this, I highly recommend you visiting multiple stores in your area to make sure you are getting the best deal possible (try to get your closet store to price match the cheapest store), as in this economy, every cent counts. As I mentioned before, it is also a good idea to find some Lenscrafters coupons, which can be found by visiting the Lenscrafters coupons website, as these coupons can save you a significant amount of money. If your eye exam differs slightly in any way from a very basic exam (e.g. contact lenses exam), be prepared to cough up a little more cash. Variations of the basic eye exam can cost around $30 more, but once again is different in each store you visit.

Usually, it is about $75 to take eye exam from Lenscrafters. But if you want to buy eyeglasses at Lenscrafters after eye exam, you may need prepare hundreds of dollars. If you look for cheaper eyeglasses, you can try to look for coupons from some coupon sites that can help you save money. Or you can try to get eyeglasses from some online shop with you take eye prescription after eye exam. Good luck.

I had an eye exam in lenscrafters last year. My insurance is expired. They charged me more than $200. Now I still think it is too expensive though I was quite satisfied with their service and products. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I had a glasses exam and bought a pair of prescription glasses and have them coated so they can prevent the reflection of computers.

The exam fee in Simi Valley, CA was $74.95, but you cannot get a contact lens prescription with only the exam fee, you also need a contact lens fitting, even if you are already happy with the lenses you have and do not want to make any changes. The basic fitting fee is $55, but then if you have astigmatism it's $75, and if you have presbyopia (which almost everyone over age 45 has, this is what you have if you use "reading glasses" or wear bifocals/progressive lenses/monovision), then the fitting fee is $95. So for me today, with absolutely no extras, just the minimum to get a prescription I can use to buy contact lenses elsewhere, it came to $169.95.
