When your blood pressure rises, your eye pressure will rise, too, so it is important to keep your blood pressure at a safe level in case of high eye pressure. Regular physical activities can lower the blood pressure. Eat a diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products can help prevent high blood pressure and eye pressure. Also remember not to intake excessive sodium in your diet.

As a matter of fact, the eye pressure is caused by an imbalance between the production and drainage of fluid in the eye. Doctors call this symptom hypertensive retinopathy. In other words, when blood pressure has moved up, eye pressure went up as well. The damage of hypertension retinopathy can become serious and give rise to many eye diseases, such as dry eyes, or eye strain. Besides, it can damage your vision in some degree. For the sake of your health, you'd better change your diet; vegetables are good for you to control your blood pressure. Besides, exercising more as well as taking the prescribed high blood pressure medications can be helped. Last but not the least, following your doctor's suggestion and have a regular check.

Well, it seems that you are quite concerned about your eye health. So, as you can see if your eye pressure gets too high, you might suffer some other problems. And I should also tell you that, sometimes high BP could lead to high eye pressure. However, it doesn't mean that your eye pressure is resulted from high BP. What you should do is to take an eye exam and take measures to fix your problem.
