Yes, it is possible to get red eyes from depression. Red eyes can be an indication of a body disease and it is important to find out the reason that causes it although red eyes usually do not cause pain and develops when blood vessels around the surface of the eye enlarge and dilate. Multiple reasons can account for red eyes, such as pink eyes, blepharitis, dry eyes, uveitis, frequent use of eye drops, contact lens wear, eye injury, corneal ulcer or infection, subconjunctival hemorrhage and acute glaucoma. Apart from these, red eyes can be caused by osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, erection problems, high blood pressure. Therefore, when you get red eyes, you should watch out and check if you have suffered other disease.
