I always hear people say that UV radiation is bad on eyes, and we need wear sunglasses to shield the eyes. But can you tell me what are the uv radiation effects on eyes?

Well, I quite understand your anxiety over the negative impacts posed by UV radiation on our eyes. Well, generally speaking, uv radiation is very bad for you, and it can just have damage on your eyes and the skin. And according to some researches, the invisible UV light is the component of sunlight most responsible for eye damage. If you explore in the sunlight for a long, it can do permanent sun damage and cataracts. In some degree, it can lead to blindness, and also have cancer. So it is very important to wear sunglasses which can provide UV protection.
